Young Living and Thieves Essential Oil

I first learned about essential oils through Young Living years ago. I knew two people who had different health issues and they found relief with the oils helped them. I was a new mom and wanted to use more natural options in our lives. That was back in 2005. Since then I have been exploring different oils, uses and have gotten certified not only as a Clinical Aromatherapist but also in different types of concentrated courses.

What I have come to learn is there are plenty of other reasonable priced options other than Young Living . Please stop using them now. I have been comparing different companies and they are by far the most expensive. If you are not sure if a company is legit or not you can send me a message and I can do a little research. I have also written another post on what to look for in oils and I now carry oils here that you can purchase. If you don’t see an oil you are interested in let me know and I can get it for you.

One other thing that I am grateful to Young Living for is being able to learn about Thieves oil and all the wonderful ways to use it. However, Young Living makes the blend for you and you are paying for that service. Here I have included what oils are in the blend so you can just make it on your own.

This blend of oils got the name from 4 thieves from Marseille who stole valuables from the sick and dying during the bubonic plague and they never got the plague. The thieves were caught and the punishment was death but the judge said he would spare their lives if they shared their secret, so they did. There are many variations but the most recent versions usually include Clove, Cinnamon bark, Eucalyptus, Rosemary and Lemon.

An easy recipe is 40 drops of Clove, 35 drops of Lemon, 20 drops of Cinnamon, 15 drops of Eucalyptus and 10 drops of Rosemary. All these need to be pure essential oils, which I do sell. You mix them all together and keep in a small dark glass bottle kept in a cool place or in the refrigerator.

I add some to a spray bottle with water and some vinegar and use it to clean all my counters. I use it in my diffuser. There are so many uses for this and if you just search up Thieves oil you will get many. At Healthline they have a lot of great info. Please let me know your favorite uses and where you get your oils from.
